My Buddy's Birthday

I have something to confess. I sometimes stink at the whole "wife" thing. In September my Dad was getting ready to purchase our tickets to come home for Christmas. He called me ahead of time to make sure the dates were OK to fly back and forth on. He tells me the dates: Dec.21st to Jan. 7th. I quickly think, "last day of exams", "day before school starts".. PERFECT! And I give him the go and he purchases the tickets (no turning back now). So I tell Steve and he, lovingly, reminds me that Dec.21st is his BIRTHDAY. Yes everyone, I, un-lovingly, had us flying ALL DAY long for his once a year celebration. How did it not register to me when I heard that date?? It's not like I don't know when his birthday is. Any way, after feeling awful about it, I have taken it upon me to make sure he gets all the celebration he can get. This Monday we went to dinner with his family celebrating his birthday (early) and we will be celebrating it again with my family on Saturday. Here are some pics of Monday night up at the Foundry Grill at Sundance. For those of you who don't know Steve, he is a down to earth, awesome guy. He is so friendly and loving to everyone. He is the greatest husband and treats me so well. He really is my best friend. Steve, I love you.

Gingerbread House

How can you have Christmas without the classic Gingerbread house making?? Steve and I dominated, as we decorated our house at his parents. It was so fun. There was TONS of candy, that all ended up in my belly. Steve's Mom made such a huge effort to make these houses for us to decorate with. She is wonderful. Take a look at our house and tell me you wouldn't want to live there yourself.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

I love the Christmas season!! Lights, hot chocolate, snow, sledding, you name it. It is the best time of year!! I have already whipped out my christmas mix's and have it blaring around the house every day. I love the holiday season. I can't even pinpoint exactly what it is that makes it so special... it JUST IS. Here are some pictures of the first big snowfall in Provo, and some pictures of Temple Square lights!

Steve and I got to be with my family for Thanksgiving this year. It was so nice to be able to have everyone home and spend time together. I am so thankful for my family, especially the new additions, Danny and Jordan. They just make everything that much more fun. I am also grateful for my hubbernator (steve) and all he has done for me! Here are some pictures of fun-filled weekend at home.
