We kicked off the week by carving our stellar pumpkins for FHE with our friends Tyler and Krystyna. My best friend from high school, miss Katie Silverman, gave me this adorable Pumpkin carving kit for our wedding that I had yet to use and was absolutely perfect for our night of carving fun.
It was harder than we thought cutting off the tops of the pumpkins.
It was well worth it though to be able to pull out all the gooey pumpkin guts.
When we got tired we had some festive orange-colored halloween hot chocolate and cookies.
The final products.
Our little family of pumpkins.
Tuesday was definitely the highlight of the week. It was Steve and mine anniversary. I still can’t believe we have been married two years. Time really does fly by when you are having fun. Steve surprised me in the morning by waking me up with flowers, kisses, and snuggle time. We celebrated by keeping tradition- dinner up at Sundance Foundry Grill, exchanging gifts, and a night up at the cabin. We ended the night watching Heroes in bed. It was a perfect evening with my perfect man.
Wednesday was a special treat. My sister-in-law Jen came into town to see her brother off on his mission. She brought Mr. Danny with her and I got spoiled with the chance to watch him for an hour while she was with her family at the MTC. The others came up to play with him too. We had a lot of fun with the little man....
...Taylor gave him a shoulder ride which he loved...
...We played in the leaves....Danny liked to put the leaves on his head...
..... and then he liked to put the grass on his head.....
.... he had fun playing with the ball... blue baby blanket clutched in his hand at all times (so cute)....rolling around in the grass..
.... and then I brought him inside to make him lunch. He spotted the mac and cheese in Jen’s baby bag and before I even had a chance to get it out he ran over to it saying “chee! chee!”, picking up the box and handing it ever so pleadingly for me to make.
....Oh how I love this little boy.
Too bad Mom had to come back and take him home, I wanted to keep him :)
And now today is Thursday and I am in Maryland visiting these lovely people:
It feels good to be home. Tomorrow is Halloween and I will have so much fun seeing the little ones get all dressed up for for trick-or-treating.
Could this week get any better? I can think of one thing.......
I sure do wish this sexy feller were here with me at home...serenading me with his guitar (look at those piercing brown eyes...)
