all good things come to an end. we're leaving the lake tonight. it has been a fabulous three weeks. fun times had and memories made. baby girl and i head back to be home with daddy in just a couple days. sad to leave but anxious to get back. pictures of our fun here to come soon!

here's a bunch of shots- some smiling- some just plain cute. jayne is super smiley every day these days. she is also starting to coo and ahh more and more. she really is such a happy baby. just the other morning she was crying to be fed, so i go in her crib to get her and then i set her on the bed to quickly grab a pillow (assuming she might get mad for a second longer) and i come back and she is just smiling away at me. i just about broke down crying because she never gets really upset over anything, and if she does- it doesn't last long. i feel so lucky and thankful every day to have this sweet baby girl in my life.

we had a long stretch of no injuries for the past two weeks. we knew the long streak couldn't last forever and that someone was going to have to take a fall for the rest of us. too bad it had to be little jordan. he ran into the corner of the ping pong table a couple nights ago. it was so sad.


BUT- he's a trooper.

jayne was loving aunt shannon's story time before jordy's nap. jordy is so sweet with jayne. he loves to gently touch her and give her kisses. it is so cute.

my blog

my blog is having a transformation. its decided.

not like its going to be some BIG transformation. its already transformed since day one of having jayne.

i guess this is just making it "official."

my blog's main focus will be all about our baby. because in case you didn't realize from the past ten posts- our life is pretty much that. but whose complaining? i'm not.

i use to secretly (or not so secretly) laugh when other people's blogs changed to be all about the baby, you know, after they had a baby.

and now i'm one of them. but now, i'm just embracing it (and laughing with myself).

so here's to a new blog, a blog all about jayne.. with a little steve and dayna thrown in the mix. i hope you'll enjoy it. i know we and my family will (which is who this blog is really meant for anyway).

hope you'll keep checking to see jayne... and all her (and our) many adventures.

for several reasons:

- chunky legs (at least so they seem... the picture is a little deceiving.. she is still so itty bitty)

Oh and thank you all who advised me about gas drops. Worked like a charm! She's back to sleeping 8 1/2 to 9 hours each night. Sleep= happy mom, so thank you!!

one month

my baby girl was one month old on tuesday. my how the time flies. to celebrate i did this:

at one month she is:
- more alert and awake
- sleeping less consistently at night since we came out to maryland... we'll see how she does when we get back home
- has major GAS. did anyone else struggle with this? any advice? it wakes her up at night
- loves taking naps snuggled up with mama

- getting cuter and cuter each day

woohoo!!!

they're engaged!!! my sister-in-law lauren and her soon-to-be husband mike, that is. we love mike and can't wait for him to officially join the family. i'm excited to have another in-law on that side (you know, to vent with, jk!!!!), and really really excited for them to start having babies so jayne will have some cousins on the magleby side too. don't worry guys, no pressure ;)
