thanksgiving feast

a round of applause for my amazing mom who did pretty much ALL the cooking for our thanksgiving feast this year. and even though we were missing bryson, jen, crystal and morgan, we still managed to have quite the crowd of people. it was the best meal and filled our bellies to the brim. we had our traditional seven layer jello (my favorite thing ever), homemade rolls, green beans, yams, mashed potatoes, and of course turkey and stuffing (yum!). we finished off with amazing pumpkin pie for dessert. it was such a fun night, once again reminding us how much we have to be thankful for.

just a ton of photos from this thanksgiving morning. hope you are all having a lovely turkey day. among the many things we have to be thankful for this year, we are especially thankful for our family and our little chicky. we are missing steve's family and hope they are having a great time without us (as hard as that may be...;). we feel so blessed for all that we have in our lives. it has been a great year. happy thanksgiving!

for all of you back in utah missing this little face, elyse and ryan had the pleasure of capturing a ton of photos for your enjoyment. they are photographers in the making (or so they felt with my massive, makes-you-feel-like-a-professional-when-you're-really-not kinda camera).

maryland

baby girl and i are in maryland for two weeks for thanksgiving (hence the lack of posts). steve will be joining us on monday for the second week here. we can't wait to see him. in the meantime we are loving spending time with my family, relaxing, and playing with little chicky. she's getting more and more giggly each day. today i had her wrapped up for her "chill time" (the time of night when i wrap her up and lay her on the couch to chill cause its the awkward hours before dinner when i don't want to put her down for a nap cause its so close to bedtime but she's a little tired and cranky) and managed to get the little one laughing. it was so cute, i had to share. enjoy.

4 months

little chicky is four months today. four months people. in my complete state of shock i'll share with you these four month shots taken this morning as well as some recent developments...



little jayne middie at four months old:

doesn't mind tummy time. as much. and

drools. all. the. time.



sometimes likes rolling from tummy to back and

trying to roll from back to tummy but has yet to be successful



still loves to stand on those legs and wiggle wiggle and

starting to laugh. at night. before bed. brought on by munching on her sides or dads scruff on her neck



loves to chatter all day and

loves to squeal super high pitched. and i mean super, like to the point where it wont even come out cause she's trying to go so high. it is quite funny.

her hair continues to defy gravity and

she has a recent obsession with her tongue. not gonna lie, that last picture kinda freaks me out.



she'll get her stats on friday along with more shots. ouch.

can't wait to see what this next month brings
